Intensive Russian Attacks Disrupt Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to local officials.

Moscow has intensified strikes on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, Europe and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and implementing penalties," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty projectiles attacked energy facilities, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area experienced heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor died and several individuals were injured.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the region, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the national power system, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
